"Circus Life"

I absolutely love elephants. I asked one of the Ringling Bros. & Barnum & Bailey Circus trainers question after question about circus life and these amazing elephants. I think my love for elephants has been further enhanced after seeing the movie, Water For Elephants.
The elephants life span from what the trainer told me is that in the wild it is about 40-50 years, but with the circus it is around 70-80 years. I know people have mixed emotions on all this, but four of the Ringling Bros. & Barnum & Bailey Circus elephants were from animal refuges. From my observation these guys are very well cared for and it is of interest to them of public awareness and for their Center for Elephant Conservation in Central Florida.

If only there was a safer and nonviolent way to teach elephants to preform, that way there wouldn't be too many complaints and the company wouldn't have to eliminate this act. I didn't even get to see their show yet.
